CRIMINAL LAW

At Berry & Berry, we have teams of solicitors specialising in Criminal Litigation at each of our three offices.  We are represented on the Duty Solicitor schemes servicing Tonbridge and Maidstone police stations as well as Sevenoaks and Maidstone Magistrates Courts.  We have extensive experience of all types of Criminal Defence work from Shoplifting and Drink Driving to Murder, Rape and Robbery.

All our solicitors are experienced advocates and will represent clients in the Magistrates Courts on a regular basis.  At the same time, we enjoy a good working relationship with several significant local barristers’ chambers and can therefore offer top quality representation before all Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts as the situation demands in Kent, Sussex, South London and beyond.  We have a General Criminal Contract so we can offer representation at Public Expense in appropriate cases or alternatively we offer very competitive rates in those cases where legal aid is not available.

If you are not sure whether you need or can afford a solicitor in any given circumstance we offer a fixed fee 30 minute diagnostic interview for £50 including VAT.  Appointments are always available at short notice at any of our offices during office hours.  We will also attend on prisoners in Prison or Police Station as required and can offer out of hours appointments or home visits in appropriate cases.
