Older Client Services

At Berry & Lamberts Solicitors we realise that it can become more and more difficult to manage your affairs, especially in old age. We provide the following services in order to assist the older client:

Powers of Attorney

We are able to prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney in order that another person may deal with your property and affairs and/or your personal welfare in the event that you are no longer able to do so yourself due to infirmity or mental incapacity

In the event that you or a relative become incapable of managing their affairs and there is no Power of Attorney in place, we can assist in applying to the Public Guardianship office for the appointment of a deputy to manage your affairs. One of our Partners is also prepared to act as a deputy where no one else suitable is available.

If you require help in managing your affairs including payment of bills, housing costs and other expenses we are more than happy to help. We can advise on funding available for nursing and residential care in order to help you meet these expenses.

Tax Advice

Our Elderly client team are happy to assist in preparing your income tax returns and advising on capital gains tax issues arising from sale of your property and shares.
